My name is Angel Martin, and I´m a freelance Copywriter and SEO expert located in Salamanca, Spain.
It all started when I finished my Master's Degree in Advanced Multivariate Data Analysis and Big Data, and I realized that internet and marketing was the future and that I wanted to be part of it. One morning in May 2020 I had a lightbulb moment and I said, why not?, and I signed up for UpWork, the world's largest freelance platform.
The first few weeks didn't go as planned, I was slowly losing my interest in the idea of being a freelance and I started to believe that freelancing was not for me, that I would have to work in an office all my life. Finally, after three weeks, I got my first job as a copywriter and that marked the beginning of my journey. I have to thank John M., the man who hired me the first time, for what he did for me. Without that first job, it is very likely that I would have given up on everything, and today I would not be a freelance and I would probably be less happy than I am now. Step by step I got more and more jobs and at the same time I was studying, getting certifications and becoming a professional. I got into the world of SEO and digital marketing, which opened many more doors and gave me lots of job opportunities.
Today I have managed to establish myself as a freelancer, I have achieved the Top Rated Plus badge of Upwork, the most reputable of the platform. I have worked on large projects, and I am currently working for companies with international reach. I will not deny that the road has not been easy, that it has had its bumps, but, despite everything, I would repeat it a thousand times.
